Traffic Congestion Meeting Minutes:
Mohamed Shams called the meeting in order to discuss the
above agenda and he started it by reminding us how serious this problem is.
· Traffic Distribution should be more organized to avoid
conflicts, accidents and congestion. Building more bridges and tunnels is one
of the ideal solutions for the problems that we talked about Five years ago, the
situation was better because the traffic signals were fewer than now.
· The roads must be renewed and well
distributed. Closing a whole road suddenly might lead to more traffic
congestion and accidents. Therefore, providing an alternative road is an
important solution. Making a straight long bridge over the whole city with
small exits to the areas and blocks is a good idea. Building underground
parking is one of the most brilliant ideas which allows us to get benefits and
saves us a lot of time and space.
· Synchronize traffic lights and fix the technical problems
to avoid accidents. Build an expansion for the streets, specially the highways.
· Provide more alternative vehicles like public
transportation e.g. buses, trains and trams, will reduce the capacity of the
cars on the roads. Provide traffic awareness for the drivers to deal with these
kinds of problem so they can help us to save time. Lecturing and tutoring the
drivers before they get the license about these kinds of problems.
